Measures Implemented for Accessibility

Our privacy policies and general terms and conditions (GTCs) are available in plain language to ensure all users have clear and accessible access to essential information.

Website

The website has been adapted to meet WCAG 2.1 requirements. The following accessibility measures have already been implemented on all key pages:

  • Contrast:Sufficient color contrast for improved readability
  • Alternative Texts: Relevant images and graphics include descriptive alt texts
  • Keyboard Navigation: The site is fully operable without a mouse
  • Structure & Readability: Clear headings, meaningful paragraphs, and logically structured content
  • Responsives Design: Optimized for all devices
  • Subtitles for Videos: For access to content without audio

Email Communication

We are increasingly focusing on accessibility in our email communication:

  • Use of readable fonts and sizes with a simple layout
  • Use of plain language wherever possible
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background
  • Alt texts for relevant images

Social Media

Our social media posts are also designed to be increasingly accessible:

  • Subtitles for videos for access without sound
  • Alt texts for images when technically feasible
  • Adequate color contrast for better readability

Our Instahelp App

1.Perceivability – Making content understandable for all
  • No text is embedded in images unless accompanied by an equivalent text alternative
  • Videos with important visual content include audio descriptions
  • Minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for standard text and 3:1 for large text are ensured
  • Important information is never conveyed through color alone
  • Content is zoomable up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • No forced text wrapping when zooming
  • Easy access to support is guaranteed
2. Operability – Using all content without a mouse
  • All features are accessible via keyboard
  • Keyboard focus is clearly visible (e.g., highlighted buttons)
  • No flickering effects above 3 times per second
  • Autoplay only starts when it can be stopped
  • Logical tab order for forms and navigation
  • Skip links for repeated navigation elements are implemented using semantic HTML
3. Understandability – Clear and simple content
  • We strive for plain and understandable language
  • Navigation is consistent (menus, buttons, and links follow the same structure)
  • Forms have meaningful labels (e.g., “Email Address” instead of just “Input”)
  • Error messages are clear and helpful (e.g., “Invalid email address” instead of “Error 402”)
  • Input assistance such as suggestions and formatting examples are provided
4. Robustness – Technically stable and compatible
  • We use valid HTML and ARIA structures
  • Semantic HTML elements are standard practice
  • Compatible with screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • CAPTCHAs are avoided or replaced with accessible alternatives
  • All content is usable across various devices (desktop, tablet, smartphone)

Non-accessible Content

Despite our best efforts, some content is not yet fully accessible:

Translations

Our privacy policy and GTCs in plain language are currently available only in German. We are working on making both available in plain English and French in the coming months.

Website

Some pages are not yet fully WCAG-compliant and are being updated step by step.

Email Communication

Older emails are being gradually updated to meet accessibility standards.

Social Media

Existing posts cannot be retroactively updated. Alt texts are not always technically possible due to platform limitations.

Instahelp App

Live Subtitles (Clause 7)
The automatic live subtitles feature during online consultations is currently unavailable, as implementation would require AI tools, which could pose data protection risks when handling sensitive client data.

Subtitles for videos (automatic or manual) are currently being developed and will be fully implemented by fall 2025.
